Most of the Renaissance system invoved redirection of force and taking someonedown to the ground. Be prepared to get on the floor (we will have mats).

The katana is the iconic close quarter weapon of the Samurai. Equally able to be used with two hands or one, it can be a fearsome weapon. We will explore cutting pattens, footwork, defensive postures, and see about creating sequences as they would have happened.
