Historic/ Cultural – Pollaxe

The pollaxe is the knightly dueling weapon of the late middle ages and Renaissance, typically fought between armored warriors. More than just a staff, it was enhanced with multiple iron fittings designed to compromise armor. Come see how powerful this weapon can be!

Stage Combat - Smallsword

The smallsword is the dueling court sword of the nobility and military officers of the 18 th and 19 th centuries. It is focused on point work, rather than cutting. It is the Great-great grandfather of the modern fencing foil.
Historic/Cultural – Military Saber

Stage Combat – Sword and Shield

The iconic battlefield weapon system of ground troops throughout history. Once the ranks closed, this was the traditional sidearm until the age of gunpowder. Come learn how the Norse, the Greeks, and early Medieval warriors fought!
Historic/Cultural – Sword and Buckler

The buckler, traditionally a defensive sidearm for archers, traces its history back to the 11 th or 12 th century as a dueling weapon. We will look at both Medieval and Renaissance versions of this form.
